Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your word and the lessons we have learned through the book of Amos. We thank You for the vision of the plumb line, which reminds us of Your unwavering standard of righteousness and justice. Help us, Lord, to measure our lives against Your plumb line and to align ourselves with Your holy standards. Give us the strength and wisdom to live lives of integrity, honesty, and faithfulness.
Lord, we also reflect on the response of Amaziah and the opposition Amos faced. We ask for Your guidance and courage to stay true to Your message, even when we encounter resistance. Help us to stand firm in our faith and to proclaim Your truth with boldness and love, regardless of the challenges we may face.
Father, we are inspired by Amos’ humble obedience to Your call. Despite his background, he answered Your call with a willing heart. We pray that we, too, may listen for and respond to Your call in our lives. Grant us the humility to recognize our need for You and the obedience to follow where You lead. Equip us with the tools and strength we need to fulfill Your purposes.
As we go forth, may we embody Your righteousness and justice in all we do. Let our lives be a reflection of Your love and grace. Guide us, Lord, and use us as instruments of Your peace and justice in this world.
