A Word from the Vine No. 141: Living Justly - Pursuing God's Call to Righteousness

Good day, friends, and welcome to another episode of "A Word from the Vine." I'm Pastor Loren. Today, I want to talk to you about a pressing matter that requires our attention as followers of Christ. It is the call to demand righteousness in our lives and in the world around us. You see, my friends, we live in a time where moral decay and injustice seem to be running rampant. But God has given us a clear directive in His Word.

In the book of Micah, chapter 6, verse 8, we read these powerful words: "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" This verse serves as a guiding light for us as believers, reminding us of our responsibility to advocate for God's standards in our lives and in society.

Far too often, we have become complacent, sitting idly by as the world around us spirals into darkness. But my friends, it is time for us to rise up and demand righteousness. We must not shy away from speaking out against injustice, immorality, and the erosion of biblical values. Just as God calls us to do justice, we are called to be a voice for the voiceless and to stand up for those who are oppressed.

We cannot afford to be silent spectators in a world that desperately needs the light of Christ. We are called to be salt and light, preserving godly principles and shining God's truth into every corner of society. It may require courage, but we must remember that we serve a God who is mighty and just. When we align ourselves with His truth and His righteousness, we become powerful agents of change.

Now, my friends, this doesn't mean we become self-righteous or judgmental. No, our call is to love mercy, just as God has shown us mercy. We must extend grace and forgiveness, offering a compassionate hand to those who have lost their way. But at the same time, we cannot compromise on God's standards. We must boldly proclaim His truth and hold ourselves and others accountable to His righteous ways.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we come before You today, humbled by Your mercy and grace. We ask for Your strength and courage to demand righteousness in our lives and in our communities. Help us to be unyielding in the face of injustice and to boldly stand up for Your truth. May we be guided by Your Word and empowered by Your Spirit as we strive to make a difference in this fallen world. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you for joining me today on "A Word from the Vine." May we continue to seek righteousness, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. Until next time, may God bless you and keep you in His perfect peace.
