A Word from the Vine No. 19: Letting Go of the Old

Welcome to "A Word from the Vine." In our last episode, we talked about the importance of pruning for growth. Today, we will continue our discussion about spiritual renewal and relate it to the act of letting go of old growth.

Just like how our vineyard at Danish Countryside needs to get rid of old growth to make way for new growth, we too must let go of things that no longer serve us in our spiritual lives. It can be easy to get stuck in our ways and routines, but this can prevent us from experiencing the newness and freshness of life that God has in store for us.

In Philippians 3:13-14, Paul says, "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Letting go of the old can be difficult, but it allows us to move forward in our spiritual journeys and experience the growth and renewal that comes with it.

That's all for today's episode of "A Word from the Vine." Remember, as we enter into the spring season and witness the pruning of the vines, let us also reflect on what we need to let go of in our own lives to make way for new growth and renewal. Thank you for joining us, and we'll see you next time. I'm Pastor Loren.
