A Word from the Vine No. 316: Witnessing the Glory

Greetings, dear friends. This is Pastor Loren with "A Word from the Vine," and today, let's turn our hearts to the imminent season of Ash Wednesday and reflect on the glorious presence of God in Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, as revealed in 2 Corinthians 4:6.

2 Corinthians 4:6: "For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

In the contemplation of Ash Wednesday's approach, let's acknowledge the unveiled glory of the living God in the face of Christ. This divine illumination brings forth a radiance that surpasses any darkness, reminding us of the eternal light shining through the redemptive work of Jesus.

As we witness the glory of God in Christ, gratitude becomes a fitting response. The acknowledgment of God's mercy and love, exemplified in the face of Jesus, should fill our hearts with thanksgiving. Our journey toward Ash Wednesday is marked by a profound recognition of the gift of salvation and the transformative power inherent in God's glory.

In light of the approaching season, our reflections on the transfiguration moments guide us toward repentance, humility, and a deeper connection with our Savior. As we enter into a period of self-examination and preparation for Lent, may the unveiled glory of God propel us toward a renewed commitment to follow Jesus faithfully.

As we earnestly anticipate Ash Wednesday, let the unveiled glory of God in Christ be the beacon that guides our hearts and minds. Thank you for joining me on this reflective journey.
