A Word from the Vine No. 333: Cultivating Habits of Righteousness

Hello again, beloved listeners. I'm Pastor Loren Christensen. As we continue our journey of spiritual growth on "A Word from the Vine," let's delve into the importance of cultivating habits of righteousness. General Lust's wisdom reminds us that standards lead to habits. Today, our scripture, Romans 12:2, provides a guiding light for this transformative endeavor:

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

Our minds are powerful instruments, shaping the way we perceive the world and influencing our actions. The call to be transformed by the renewal of our minds is a profound invitation to intentionally align our thoughts with God's truth. It's an ongoing process, a journey of continuous growth.

Consider the habits you've cultivated in your life. Do they reflect Godly standards? Are they in harmony with His perfect will? Habits, whether big or small, have a significant impact on the course of our lives. By intentionally cultivating habits of righteousness, we create a rhythm that resonates with the heartbeat of God.

Now, let's not forget that discipline is the next step in this transformative journey. Discipline empowers us to stay the course, even when faced with challenges and distractions. It's the glue that holds our Godly standards and righteous habits together.

As we move forward, may your habits be a testament to the renewal happening within you, a reflection of God's transformative power in your life. Remember, each small, intentional step you take in this journey contributes to the beautiful masterpiece God is creating within you.

Until our next episode, stay disciplined, stay intentional, and may God's grace guide you every step of the way.
