A Word from the Vine No. 370: Advocacy in Christ - Finding Redemption and Restoration

Beloved congregation, welcome back. This is "A Word from the Vine" with me, Pastor Loren Christensen. Today, let's dive into the depths of divine advocacy and the unfathomable grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the reassuring embrace of His advocacy, we discover the pathway to redemption and restoration, where forgiveness flows freely and reconciliation awaits all who turn to Him in faith.

Today's scripture comes from 1 John 2:1: "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."

As we navigate the complexities of life, we may stumble and fall, succumbing to the temptations that beset us. Yet, in our moments of weakness, we find solace in the unwavering advocacy of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who stands as our righteous advocate before the Father.

His advocacy knows no bounds, extending to every soul in need of redemption and restoration. No sin is too great, no transgression too severe, for His atoning sacrifice covers them all, offering the promise of forgiveness and reconciliation to all who place their trust in Him.

With Jesus Christ as our advocate, we approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that His blood speaks on our behalf, pleading for mercy and grace in our time of need. In His righteousness, we find refuge and strength, secure in the knowledge that His love knows no end.

Let us, therefore, cast aside the shackles of guilt and shame, embracing the freedom and restoration offered to us through the boundless grace of our Lord. May we walk in the light of His truth, confident in His unfailing love and steadfast in our devotion to Him.

As we depart from this sacred time of reflection, may we carry with us the assurance of Christ's advocacy, trusting in His boundless grace and embracing the freedom and restoration found in Him. Wishing you blessings and peace, thank you for joining me.
