A Word from the Vine No. 52. Breaking Free - Dropping the Reins

Hello, and welcome to "A Word from the Vine." I'm Pastor Loren Christensen of Danish Countryside Chapel. In this episode, I will discuss the importance of recognizing when someone or something is leading us down a path of wrongdoing, and having the courage to break free from it. By separating ourselves from those who are leading us astray, we can begin to move towards a future that is in line with our Christian values.

As Christians, it's important to remember that we are called to love our neighbors and even our enemies, but this does not mean we should condone or support actions that go against our beliefs. Sometimes, we may find ourselves caught up in situations or relationships that are toxic and harmful to our spiritual growth. In these moments, we must have the courage to break free and distance ourselves from those influences.

This can be a difficult and painful process, but it is necessary for our own well-being and the well-being of those around us. It may require us to make difficult choices, such as ending friendships or leaving certain organizations, but by doing so, we can begin to live in a way that is more aligned with our faith.

It's important to note that breaking free from negative influences doesn't necessarily mean cutting off all contact with those individuals or organizations. We can still love and pray for them from a distance, but we must prioritize our own spiritual health and avoid being dragged down by their harmful actions or beliefs.

In conclusion, as Christians, we must have the courage to break free from those who are leading us astray, even if it means publicly announcing it. By doing so, we can begin to change our lives and move towards a future that is in line with our Christian values. Let us heed the words of 2 Corinthians 6:17 and come out from among unbelievers, separating ourselves from them and their harmful ways.

Thanks for joining us today for "A Word from the Vine."
