In 1 Samuel 15, we read how Saul was instructed to completely destroy the Amalekites, but his desire for personal gain and the allure of power led him to spare the best of the spoils.
We also encounter Jesus in the wilderness, facing temptations that strike at the heart of ruthless ambition. Satan tempted Him with shortcuts to power, fame, and wealth. But Jesus, in His unwavering commitment to God's will, resisted those temptations, recognizing the eternal consequences of prioritizing selfish desires over the divine plan.
